Mission
The Penn Hills Department of Planning and Economic Development is dedicated to improving the quality of life in Penn Hills through the preparation and implementation of short and long range plans for community and economic development. The department has a duty to advise the governing body and Manager on all matters of community planning and economic development, and to develop and enforce community standards for land development.
The department shall pursue quality community development by leading in the community planning process, supporting community based organizations, administering federal and state community development programs, and facilitating the economic development process.
